Among the many mobile surprises this morning at Square Enix's E3 press conference was the announcement that the upcoming FF actioner Dirge of Cerberus is getting a mobile companion. Subtitled Lost Episode, the game is just that -- a missing chapter from the PlayStation 2 game that fills in extra storyline.



The story takes place three years after Meteorfall. The world is under the constant threat of the Deepground army, and its up to Vincent Valentine to thwart the evil organization's plans. Vincent delves deep into the Shinra Manor to protect the Protomateria, a magical material the Deepground desperately wants. While he is in the manor, Vincent must also uncover clues about his forgotten past.

The game is divided between combat and exploration, all in incredible 3D. The game will feature networked battle with other players -- which plays into Square's increasing interest in mobile multiplayer.

Lost episode is currently slated for release this summer. Check out these first screens, and then look for additional details on the Dirge very soon.

Why the hell hasnt anyone replied? I would love to have FF7/Vincent in my "pocket", but the sad thing is, I don't have a cellphone - haha! Anyways, I'd love to see it on the PS2 but it's soooo going to be judged as Square Enix's shot at a "Devil May Cry" look-a-like game since it stars Vincent and guns. :o
