MY background: :( pardon me if i am breaking any forum rules and stuff....i am but a humble vampire who lives in the attic and feeds on choki-choki...i rarely drink blood cause i find it unsanitary and i'm allergic to type O.

Suggestion: i want to post it this early...



every year...Marikina City hosts a festive event. it's called "Marikina christmas festival"

they have a different theme every year...

during this event, they hold different events such as concerts....costume events, singing and dancing contests

and of course, the wonderful exhibits that lights the riverbanks.


may mga tiangge...

food stalls...

and other stuff...


dinadayo pa namin marikina just to get our pictures taken sa mga exhibits....:P


anyways, the idea goes a bit like this...


we talk to the government of marikina and ask them if they already have a theme for this year, if not, let's suggest the anime theme...

the exhibits may feature anime scenes and stuff...and stalls that sell anime merchandise ...


i hope you guys would give your opinion..although i'm not really hoping much...

after all, this is just a weird idea drawn out of boredom...

Woooow! Dat'll be cool!! ANIME theme?? Dat's a first! Dat way too, we'll able to promote ANIME and MANGA at Marikina City! In a festival, no less!!

@languish: you're hoping for Marikina Sports Center as venue? I say...good luck! 1st...the rent is expensive indeed...you need lots of sponsors, and you must submit a proposal letter (again) to the admin of the sports center...and they will ask you guys for other documents such as group profile, mission, vision, etc...etc...everything MUST BE LEGAL! or else they won't allow you to go for an event there...

@chepot: what to include in a proposal letter? the proposed theme for the coming festival...the purpose...the schedule(s)...etc...etc...and it MUST BE accompanied by the group profile, mission, vision, etc...etc...like I said a while ago...everything MUST BE LEGAL!

the reason why I'm telling you guys this is because my hometown's city government is very strict when it comes to proposals, planning, etc...etc...and once more like I said...everthing MUST BE LEGAL or else...sorry...majority of my relatives are inside the city government so personally I don't want mistakes, and its not like I want it perfect because no one among us is perfect except for God, just a friendly reminder lang po ok?

@all: i think maganda rin ung cnabi ni retsu kasi mas maganda kung LEGAL tlga ung plan n yan or others :) pero kapag natuloy nman, bawi nman taung lahat at tayo-tayo rin ang makikinabang :lol:

errr....that is why i stated there in my first post that this is just a suggestion...it's a nice idea...but we need it on paper and people running around and pulling strings to make this work...

the truth is, i have no whatsoever power in my hands to lead this plan...i need a really influential backer to help me out...or guilds that would support the idea....

the reason why i posted this early kasi, Marikina city plans ahead...waaaay ahead...this is because the exhibits take time to plan and construct...so they really have to have an idea before september cause come october, implementation of the plans for the festival will start...

What i meant was that ung mga taga-marikina na cosplayers pwde mag-tipon-tipon para mag-usapan kung paano nila masasabi ung idea (alongside ung plans, needs and the whatnots ng event) and how they will do it... Mas maganda kasi na taga-marikina para mlapit sila sa isa't isa and plus they know their way around the place... And they could talk on the behalf of the cosplayers here...


And ung mga pahabol pa diyan sa pi-nost q, don' mind... Kagaguhan lang yan... :lol:

i just went back from the city hall and i managed to talk to this guy sitting in the front desk of the Mayor's office...

wala pa raw nagpapasa ng proposal...and we might be the first one..we need a proposal before they for a committee...before september.

it will be a delightful event if ever matuloy to...

Wala po yun, since ur now a part of the 1st anime event on Marikina, which is CulturEvolution, if that becomes successful, the xmas festival is now within reach... and let's just pray, the city government accepts, as they accepted CulturEvolution.
