Lacus has a pink starship, a private army, chairwomanship of a whole nation of space colonies, the universe's two most powerful Gundams, basic mobile suit piloting skills, genetic superpowers, and cool outfits (ninja, popstar, pilot, commander, and chairwoman, among others).

Meer has the Gainax bounce. ;)

since meer has more revealing clothes and music that are up beat , people tend to appreciate it more .

(I love Lacus and all but we all have to sympatize with this one) namely because in the end she did somewhat redeem for all the wrong things she did but technically she really didnt do anything wrong. She just played the part, the pawn the puppet that Dullindel wanted to do. She was merely used as the reflecting image of Lacus Clyne to get the people to sway their opinions towards the chairmans opinion. Shameless war propoganda talaga. Alot of people hate Meer simply of the way she looks and the way she acted when she first appeared and everything else. But you have to look deeper that she indeed did help Athrun escape and feed him information regaurding the plans of the chairman and ZAFT.
So in a way Meer did went through some changes as the series progressed. And her death just made her alittle less annoying. Atleast shes no Fllay.

I can't pick because they're different. ^^ I like Lacus and Meer in their own way.
Sabi nga ni Lacus, You may have my name, the same face and voice as mine, but we're individually different.
And as just as Chibi-kun said about Meer, she redeem all the wrong things na ginawa nya. And if you really know the story of Meer, actually, you wouldn't have the heart to hate her. I know. I used to hate her at her first appearances especially when she's flirting around with Athrun, but I take it back now. ^^ and too bad she had to die. I don't think she deserves it. It would be nice seeing her being accepted other people as she is. Lalo na ung Archangel people. Btw, I just don't like the way Meer talks. XD She's like always overreacting. lol.
As for Lacus, I adore her for being wise. She's so darn intelligent. She's such a sweet girl. Sometimes, I have this thought that Kira doesn't deserve her for some reason. Haha! ^^v

Kira may have been a whiny teen in SEED, but he's the Newtype SEED Ultimate Coordinator General Kira Yamato by the end of Destiny.

Lacus has SEEDed only once. Kira SEEDs like he's chewing gum.

well as for me i like meer becoz para xang c flay ahehehe kht msama c flay (start) as the show progressed she fell more in love with kira w/out even knowing it and redeemed herself in the end even in death ^_^ plus mas cute outfit ni meer ky lacus. Well lacus is just too well inocent and kind and i guess
its too much (well for me)
