Kinda late, but ... Does anybody want to meet up? I'll be there all four days of the convention.
Attending the following photoshoots for sure:
Final Fantasy - Saturday 12pm
Ragnarok Online - Sunday 1:30 pm
:D
AX 07 SUKKED!!! incompetent stafff... broken promises on AX's side... lousy location.. just a lot of crap... other than that...
besides meeting new/old friends and hanging out... those were bout the fun parts.. everything else sukked...wat'd u tink?
I hated registration...waiting in line for 4 hours, only to find out toward the end that there is an express line for pre-registered people.
Location-wise, Long Beach is BEAUTIFUL! No doubt about it! There were tons of locations where you can come up with wonderful shots. But the heat was terrible @_@ I got a lot of sunburns...especially on my nose and shoulders. I guess, getting a sunburned nose means I'm not *that* pango :P And I'm still hearing comments from the people of Long Beach that Anime Expo was a breath of fresh air for the city :D They were shocked, but in a happy sort of way :D
Anyways, I agree, for me, the only real fun parts were the cosplay gatherings and the very friendly attendees. You don't get that much warmth and appreciation anywhere. But the attendees (even if you don't know them) were just great and very welcoming. It was like we were all one big family of otakus and crazy-cosplayers. It was a blast the whole four days.
In fact, I couldn't help but cry on my way home :( It was the end of the 'fantasy' and back to the normal grind of everyday work and life.
these are pictures from my 1st photoshoot at Anime Expo 2007, at Long Beach, CA. the 2 cosplayers are my younger sisters.

Gluttoneeeeee~~~
Nice seeing you at ALA 08! Hope to see you again at AX 08.
