i like taking pictures of cosplayers specially if they really look like the anime they are portrating...

here's the pictures i took at mangaholix last may19 @SM mall of asia

i also took videos of the parade of cosplayers both individual and group. but i havent uploaded it yet... but iL soon do it hopefully until the next cosplay event.

this cosplay event is rather hmmmm... ;) sorry but the MC totally wasn't given any FYI about anime.. the girl made a lot of mistakes in announcing the cosplayers.. mixed up the anime names. but the thing that made me annoyed was she kept on saying "this is the first cosplay here in the Philippines" :wacko: like duh! would somebody tell her its not. i thought she was corrected when she went to break when the bands played but when she came back she was still saying "this is the first cosplay here in the Philippines" <_< well its ok if you dont have any anime background but at least she could have done a research on what shes hosting like any other good MCs do. But all the rest it was fun and great and right after the group cosplay it was followed by mall of asiaS fireworks dance every saturday 7pm

:D I'm new here as well. I don't frequent much conventions (even though I love 'em XD) so Mangaholix yesterday was pretty cool in terms of taking pics xDD
WAAH YOUR PICS TURNED OUT x9999999999 BETTER THAN MINE. lol ^^; I started out pretty far from the stage but I tried squirming nearer. In the end, I never got to watch the awarding coz my mom was waiting for me in the car :< Oh well ^.^""

thanks for liking the pix i took. it was annoying though considering that the sun was on its way, the cosplayers always posed on stage where the sun was, so most pictures were againsts the light, even though one of the judges told them to pose on the left part of the stage to avoid the sun, they just couldn't get it. but atleast my shots turned out well.

i still like my Ozine '07 the on at megamall last 040107 pictures though coz i had the chance to ask the cosplayers to do poses for my shots. for the mangaholix it was totaly candid. ^_^

it was my first time to do a cosplay but i didnt join the contest...

i was just there for a costrip! :P

you are? :lol: were u cosplaying as aya or maya? i think i got your picture... coz i almost got all 120 cosplayers. i was right infront the stage when i took my shots. i think i just missed to shots, the one in maya's cosplay who went up stage alone coz thats the time i changed battieris and the little white critter "i 4got the name" :huh: same reasons changed batteries.

I'm Cosplaying the Most Basic costume. ALthough it doesn't Luk Lyk a Costume but i thnk itz considered as a Costume. Hihi...

I was Cosplaying Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

really? i do remember someone cosplaying Neon Genesis Evangelion probobly i wasnt able to post it due to the exposure of the light. i have to admit there are some shots i didnt pose due to light exposure i was having a hard time taking the shots since the sun was setting on that time and most of the cosplayers where posing againts the light.

but i'll look for it in my hard copy and hoping i can send you the link of your picture.. sounds good? :)

no problem :D I've never had a problem so far with the sun, my dilemma is always that it's too dark or something. But since I now have an actual camera (rather than using my cellphone's poor quality camera) that hasn't been much of a hassle. >_<
Oh I don't know if those were the earlier pics in the same album I saw, but I agree, those were really good shots. xD

yah, im them one who cosplay maya in school uniform, and went up the stage alone.
