There was an event before called Cosplay Prom, but it seems the organizers will not have one this year. I am planning to do an event just like it, titled, Bara no Nigatsu. It's like a prom, but the people are wearing cosplay costumes. The event will be at a hotel or sanctuary in the Manila area, (assured that it will be accessible by LRT1 train) with dinner (platted or buffet). As a premise, tentative ticket price is 350 pesos each for the entrance.

Theme, elegant and formal. Any costume that is gown/long gown, as long as it's formal for girls, and for the boys anything that is formal looking. People can attend not in costume, but you will have to observe the formal dress code of the event. Gown for the girls (that means girls will not wear pants) and suit & tie for boys.

Well... I am still considering if I should pursue it, since I know the ticket price is not practical for many. Tentative date is February 25, I must confirm 50 ticket sales by Februay 18 for me to push this through. I will be in UST for the event, to confirm if anyone is interested, that will mean interested parties will have to buy tickets for confirmation. Guaranteed, if the ever that the said quota will not be met, tickets will be fully refunded, in SM MegaMall food court March 5.

The event will require ticket reservations for those who want to attend, reservations will be accepted until Febuary 22. On the day payments and registration beyond the said date will not be entertained anymore.

For those who are interested, just buzz me here in this topic, so that I will know if I should be expecting any reservations by February 18.

for now... I'm still deciding if I should continue with the event or not... I'm still trying to collect at least 50 people who will be interested to join. Most prolly, the hotel is Palm Plaza Hotel in Malate... accessible by LRT1, just walking distance from the LRT Station. Time would be 5pm to 8pm.^_^

Since most who are interested wants to continue this at April, tentative dates are April 1 or 22.... please choose which date you want best.^_^

This event to open to all.^_^ It's not limitted to PinoyCosplay Members.^_^ So, if you have a non-PinoyCosplay date/friend who will come along, they are welcome to do so.^_^

formal na kakaiba!!

as I said... this is a formal occation... and you can go on a group date if you don't have a special someone^_^ I know a lot of you out there wants to wear the formal wear of your characters^_^ or maybe wear elegant costumes^_^

Since the date has been moved... to April, I'll start collecting the reservation fees at the UST event this 18th... then continue collecting every Saturday at the SM MegaMall food court from 3pm - 5pm, until March 25, I will ask for contact details of the people who will reserve, to inform you of any future developments of the event. I will accept reservations until March 29, if I have 50 reservations on the March 25th.

If the said quota will not be reached by then, I will return all the reservation fees, at SM MegaMall foodcourt, from 3pm-5pm of April 1, 8 and 15. For security reasons, I will ONLY return the money on the said dates, and to whom the reservation is named after. If you will have another person claim the money from you, please let him/her bring an authorization letter and an ID of yours and ofcourse his.
