Title: Costume Planner
Description: your aspiring cosplay service
Polence - November 13, 2005 05:03 AM (GMT)
well... I kinda thought there would be people out there who would like to have their costumes done here in the Philippines (for those who are not here, and it's cheaper to have it made here" ... or just plain "don't have time" to have their own costumes made
I'm offering my services to do that for you... find makers and have the costume done for you. I will charge for my efforts, my rate is negoitable.^_^
*note: my rate will be a little high.... depending on the leg work needed for the costume
mamoru - November 13, 2005 09:55 AM (GMT)

Zengar Zombolt - November 14, 2005 03:44 AM (GMT)

Magkano ung gani2?
devil.man - November 14, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
What if I have a specific seamstress already, I just need someone to make a follow-up, to deal with the seamstress and the like.. how much will that cost me?
christian - November 14, 2005 10:38 AM (GMT)
magkano po kaya kung yung costume ni cloud in final fantasy 7 advent children???
@polence ung sword po ni cloud kya how much po kya un? and how long po bago matapos??
polidread - November 14, 2005 12:37 PM (GMT)
how much for Mecha costumes? and what materials will you possibly use for say, something like a Daimos costume?
ive been so busy with work for the past few months that i dont have time to build my own costumes anymore... (well, just enough time to check forums and emails and post flames, but that's a different thing...)
Polence - November 14, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
thanks so much for the replies guys^_^... I'm mainly offering the service to cosplayers abroad who would like to save by having their costumes done here.^_^ Btw... I'll provide reciepts for the shops I will commission to do your costumes.^_^ Para malinaw ang lahat ng pinupuntahan ng pera ninyo.^_^
Anyway.... I know most of you guys are living here, it will save alot more if you just do it yourselves.^_^ Just ask away questions in this forums, by posting your own topic about your inquires like.... "Building a bahamut costume" ... and write down what particularly you want to ask advice about your costumes.^_^
please try to post front, back, side and close up pictures of the costumes you would like to pursue... so people can give you better advice as to what you can do.^_^
@mamoru
please post pics of the character..... by then I can give you a rough estimate of your costume.^_^ Also... please indicate what you would like to have done (find a wig, boots, weapons - if you want it in wood or whatever is appropriete.... things like that)^_^
@Zengar Zombolt
For what I can estimate... it will cost you around 3k if you want an accurate costume.^_^; Helmet, boots and all
@g3tan
I'm not really sure about how much that will cost... but most probably.. if you want a new pair of sandals and the weapon to come with it... it would be roughly 2.5k... accurate outcome if we build the costume from scratch, custom made boots, modified helmet and all.
In my oppinion, the costume isn't that complicated to do, and you can save more if you just do it yourself.^_^Most of the things you need for this one can be bought.^_^
@devil man
umm.... actually... it really depends on what kind of follow up that is needed to be done... like frequent costume supervision, that I actually have to go to the seamstress to see the improvement and such... as for the charging... I think I will charge you my commuting expence, plus 150.^_^;
@christian
it really depends... on how accurate you want it to be... like.... if you want the sword to be done along with the costume, wig,etc.... for as much as my estimate.... it will cost 2,500 without the sword and wig.^_^;
Anyway... I can always recommend a seamstress you can go to or give you tips as to how to build the costume... which would be a lot cheaper for you.^_^
devil.man - November 15, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
How about quality? How can we ensure the quality of the costumes? Do you have an experience in armour-making? Can you show us a pic of what amours you did?
Sorry, I'm fickle with these things.
mamoru - November 15, 2005 04:34 AM (GMT)
@polence: ito po ung pics..

kano po kaya aabutin??
christian - November 15, 2005 05:24 AM (GMT)
mdyo accurate nmn po ba ung look nung costume as in kahawig nung outfit ni cloud??
Zengar Zombolt - November 15, 2005 12:40 PM (GMT)
@polence: d b 3k ung viewtiful joe n costume @ visit my poll @
this topic :-ppara magkaalaman n kung cnu mas value 4 money @ mghhntay me ng time para mkpg-cosplay me sa nxt year :)
Polence - November 16, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
ok... I guess I get alot of inquiries... guys... please bear in mind that I still encourage you people to make your costumes.^_^;
@mamoru
please try to make this one yourself... if I am going do the comissioning for you... I might charge 2k
@christian
more likely... yes it will look accurate... in my rough estimate... 85% accurate... because the shoulder lion insignia and armor will cost you alot more if I had it done in resin.... that is if you are willing to spend... more likely I can immitate it 95%
Zengar Zombolt - November 16, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
@polence: what do u think of this costume:

cuz i know the trench coat is worth 2k+ i am ryt and the mask is papagawa m n pasadya :) heheheh madali n lang ung pang-loob ni Q ryt??? he's Q in SFIII: 3rd strike
mamoru - November 16, 2005 11:27 AM (GMT)
christian - November 16, 2005 01:06 PM (GMT)
@polence
uhmm.. how much po pag iraraise pa natin ung percentage ng accuracy up to 95%??
mga magkano po ung estimate nyo from 2500 up to ???
devil.man - November 16, 2005 01:14 PM (GMT)
In addition to my question (that is still unanswered... kindly answer it so I can plan my cosplay properly), can you state some information about the sources you have in terms of having my costume made? Are they credible and what are the costumes they have made in the past?
Like i said, I'm fickle with these things and I want to have my costume made properly... Sorry :(
Chibi-kun - November 17, 2005 05:26 AM (GMT)
I have actually done that Sasuke costume myself and I can always remake it as a commissioner. Pero nga lang. Peso to dollar conversion is expensive tapos malulugi ka lang :P
but I make the shirts in the best quality and the back of the Uchiha emblem are screen printed on and I usually sell them in sets.
bandages and everything.
ako naman ay may question. I wanted to ask someone from the philippines to purchase wigs for me and have them shipped back to the states. I'm willing to pay the fee for shipping and additional fee to anyone who runs to the store and buys them for me.
Polence - November 17, 2005 03:03 PM (GMT)
@chibi-kun
if you want... I'll do it for you.... though I will still see if I can find the right style of wig that you want^_^;
@poli
I recommend that you ask the LOTR guys for your mecha costume.... I think they have commissioned work^_^;
@christian
prolly.... 5k-6k... di ko pa kasi sure kung magkano i-charge sa akin nung resin molder
@devil.man
I'll be comissioning people who had made costumes for TV stations and movies before.... rest assured, some of them have made my cosplay award winning costumes. If you want.... I'll give you the addresses and contact details of this persons... and you can just go to them and have your costume done by them... yourself... that way mas makakatipid ka ;)
@zengar
nice.... 2k-3k with mask and hat
sorry if this sounds rushed... the internet shop is closing^_^;
Chibi-kun - November 17, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
@ Polence:
it would be nice if you could first take pictures of what wigs the store offers and how good their quality is.
but currently, i'm looking for some short hair wigs and a really long one. Preferably that they come in the lightest color possible so I can custom dye them myself.
devil.man - November 18, 2005 03:28 AM (GMT)
What are your award winning costumes? I'm sorry, I don't know you personally, so I don't know. :( And how about IF I'm going to ask you to follow-up seamtresses and have the materials bought, will I need to give out a DP or I'll pay you cash upon delivery?
Anyways, can you please PM me the addresses and the costume shops that you are going to suggest. Thanks! :)
Polence - November 19, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
@chibi-kun
ok... it's just that, wigs here are of limitted styles... so I want to know what wig you need first... the styles of most wigs here are waist long with bangs... or apple cut with bangs. So I'll need to know what you want first, then if I find it, I'll take a picture of it... ok?^_^
@devil
I will have you pay me an innitial payment, that will cover the down payment for the costume, purchase of materials, my commuting expence, etc. Anyway... if in the first place you just wanted the addresses of the shops.. you should have just asked.-_- I'm very busy nowadays, we could have just cut this conversation short.
I comission different people for my costumes... so I'll just give you what costumes I won awards in ok?^_^
Chii- wedding day
Diva Erinnus- Cyber Team in Akihabara
Shiva - FFX, I made this one myself
Priestess - Priston Tale
Sarah Kerrigan - StarCraft... I give credit to Robert Wong and my teamates for this costume
Utena - combination of me and a seamstress
@everyone
it really depends on what costume you want to commission, where I will have them made. If a simple seamstress can do it, I'll have it made there, that way you can save money.^_^ Frankly.. the professional people charge alot.^_^;
Chibi-kun - November 19, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
I'm looking for a long wig. that should be specific enough, hows the quality and whats it made out of? I'll take any long wigs since I can pretty much style them myself.
junemarie024 - November 19, 2005 04:27 AM (GMT)

Polence - November 19, 2005 06:10 AM (GMT)
@Chibi-kun
may I know... where you live please?^_^; (do you live here in the Philippines or are you in another country? what country) wigs here... the long ones with bangs...costs between 1500-1700 depending when and where I buy them (sometimes there is a sale)... so that's roughly around $30^_^
@junemarie024
I'll still have to check how much each costume will cost you. Umm... ang dami e^_^; May I know why you want all of these costumes comissioned? I want to know where you live.... in the Philippines or in another country?^_^
ok..... just to make it clear... I'm really busy nowadays... if you just want to know/ask for advice on where to have your costumes made just tell me so... and I'll give you the places you need.... di ko po pagdadamot yung information na iyon sa inyo... ok?^_^;
Chibi-kun - November 19, 2005 06:51 AM (GMT)
America :P
are the wigs there made of synthetic fiber or something else? coz I've seen so many wigs that are in poor condition (especially the halloween ones)
magkano ba yung mga shorter wigs? And you say they mostly come in bobbed hair cuts?
does any of them come in platinum or white blonde?
Polence - November 19, 2005 12:19 PM (GMT)
I see...^_^
ok... if it is wild colored wigs (red, violet, green, etc) it's synthetic. If it's natural colored ones (brown, black, natural red), the price depends on how much percent real hair is incorporated in the wig.
ok... bobbed hair cut wigs with bangs... length is approximately between the chin and below the ears... price is still the same from 1,500-1,700.. and yes it comes in platinum^_^. Most sythetic wigs are quite thin... but the quality is good in my opinion.^_^
Chibi-kun - November 19, 2005 11:33 PM (GMT)
well, I rather have most of the wigs come in the lightest color possible so I can redye them myself. Blonde or brown, I'll take either one and if its possible to find them in synthetic fiber using the natural colors.
can you show me photos of them? I need the wigs sometime soon and I'll be ready to order once I get the photos, price quote for your labor, price of wig and shipping.
theres a convention in january I plan to attend ^_^
Sora_counter_sky09 - November 20, 2005 04:38 AM (GMT)
hi^^
I just wanna know how much
a long-haired wig costs??
maybe about a past waist length
and another thing..

how much will this costume cost??
is full-body paint advisable??
Chibi-kun - November 20, 2005 04:58 AM (GMT)
cosplay.com sells the godiva wig which is 44 inches long. It reaches my knees and I stand at 4'10. yes pandak ako :mellow: the godiva wig costs $62 and they ship internationally.
amphigory sells the enchanment wig for $40 - $45 and its made of toyokalon fiber. Pero, cheap at madaya ako. So I'm importing mine from the pinas :P
(yes, saves me atleast a couple dollars :lol: )
Polence - November 20, 2005 08:19 AM (GMT)
@chibi-kun
ok... I'll send you a closer picture when I can visit the shop^_^...
platinum wig this picture was taken from a cosplayer wearing it^_^
ok... for the wig it's 1,700 pesos... (I'll try to bargain, for them to give it to me at a lower price)... shipping expence depends on how you want it shipped
PhilPost - 600 pesos (minimum of 2weeks)
FedEx- $30 (minimum of 3 working days)
Labor.... 300 pesos... negotiable^_^;
Along with the merchandise, I will also include a reciept of purchase for the wig and the shipping expenses, when I send it to you.^_^
Ok... if you have relatives here... I can simply meet a relative of yours and just give it to him/her, which will save you shipping expence^_^
@Sora_counter_sky09
please refer to the previous posts^_^... umm... I haven't seen a wig with that length that is sold here in the Philippines, yet^_^;
Ok... costume... I suggest full body stocking/leotard with designs/metallic objects... that is if you don't want to bare skin.^_^; IMO... full body paint with flexible silicon parts would be nice^_^.... but then again if you can get someone to make those out of paper mache, resin or metal, better^_^
or you can go another way... build the whole machine surrounding her and just stick your face in when it is needed.... I think you would need someone to push the machine around when you are on stage :P
Chibi-kun - November 20, 2005 09:25 AM (GMT)
oi, maraming salamat! i havent talked to my cousins in ages pero ang tita ko ay pupunta dito on december :mellow: i'll try to get in contact with her.

Polence - November 21, 2005 09:59 AM (GMT)
@devil.man
