The Cosplay Idol Award has been UPGRADED!
Originally, the Cosplay Idol Award was for the outstanding cosplayer who did not reach the 12nn registration cut off on both days. Its still the same but now that rule has been upgraded to the following.
Any cosplayer can cosplay any character in any anime, game or movie (yes, both animation and live action such as Tomb Raider, Star Wars, etc) is not eligible to part of the 50 registrants BUT IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN THREE (3) COSPLAY IDOL AWARDS FOR THE DAY!
This is applicable for BOTH DAYS!

ISNT THIS GREAT OR WHAT?!? Thats a total of 6 COSPLAY IDOL AWARDS for those who could not register on time, and those who would like to cosplay characters that does not qualify for OPEN CATEGORY ANIME and HERO TITLE category! ^o^

So join our HERO COSPLAY festivities and Cosplay your heart out! See you!

CLARIFICATION REGARDING COSPLAY IDOL AWARDS AND THE OTHER AWARDS

Just to clarify, those who are eligible for Cosplay Idol Awards WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CATWALK on the cosplay area. Instead these cosplayers are free to roam the Hero venue and have their OWN SECRET JUDGES. Yes, these judges are part of the crowd and they will choose who they think deserves the Cosplay Idol Award. It could be because you are the most impressive, or the most outstanding... basically the one THAT STANDS OUT IN THE CROWD. So good luck to Cosplay Idol participants and hopefully the secret judges will take notice of you.

At 3:30pm the names of the Cosplay Idol Winners will be announced from the main stage and THEY HAVE TO COME UP ON STAGE TO PICK UP THEIR PRIZE. Failure to do so and your prizes will be forfeited.

THE REST OF THE REGISTERED COSPLAYERS (those who registered between 9am to 12nn) are allowed to catwalk in front of the cosplay judges. After the catwalk they are free to roam the Hero venue but must be within the cosplay area by 3:00pm to find out who the finalists are. Finalists will then be presented onstage by 3:30pm.

REGISTERED COSPLAY GROUP PARTICIPANTS must be ready for their GROUP SKIT by 3:00pm ON THE MAIN STAGE. The groups must be within the Main Stage Area by 2:30pm. YOU MUST HAVE A SKIT READY, and usually not just being the most complete group but the most entertaining can win. Again groups have a maximum of 5 minutes to do the presentation. Winners will be announce between 3:30pm to 4pm and is required to come up stage to recieve the prize.

Clarification on Cosplay Idol award requirements from Robert Wong:

Again i want to remind everyone that you should bring 3 PICTURES of the anime character you are cosplaying as part of the 50 registered participants on the first and second day.

Those who do not or were not able to submit any pictures will not be allowed to register BUT are eligible for the Cosplay Idol Award if they want to.

Those who want to join the Cosplay Idol award on purpose are not required to bring any pictures but still need to register at the registration table to recieve your official Hero Cosplay number sticker.

Floor plan, dressing rooms, bus pickup, and registration via Robert Wong:

TO ALL COSPLAYERS:

Here is the floorplan for the Hero cosplay event:

Click for Hero Floor Map

Cosplayers now have an exclusive entrance at the back. All you need to do is go to the side where the driveway is and enter at the entrance indicated that will get you to the cosplay area and registration (as highlighted in green). This will help you avoid the crowd and get you to the registration area faster.

Unfortunately this path isnt covered, so if it rains you will all have to pass through the event area. There registration area in the front part IS NOT THE COSPLAY REGISTRATION BOOTH. Again, the cosplay registration booth is located at the cosplay area itself as highlighted in the green area.

The cosplayer exclusive entrance is also open to the cosplayer's helpers, but i would like to ask for the cosplayers to minimize the number of people to help you in (maximum of 3) especially to extra large costumes.

COSPLAY REGISTRATION:
-Again we are reminding you guys about the 3 Pictures of the cosplay characters you will be cosplaying. The pictures must preferrably be full body shots, to increase your chances of having a better score in accuracy and craftmanship.

-Cosplayers will be given a cosplay kit which includes the Cosplay schedule, Cosplay Rules and your copy of the Cosplay Disclaimer (a signed document that says you have agreed to the rules provided by Hero).

-Get your cosplay Freebie! Freebies are strictly for the 50 registered cosplayers only.

DRESSING ROOMS:
As you can see there will be dressing rooms for boys and girls. Here are the rules regarding the use of the dressing room:

- Dressing room is for the exclusive use of the 50 REGISTERED cosplayers only.

- You can leave your baggages inside the dressing room. But any loss or damage to your stuff inside the room, the Hero staff and admin will not be held responsible. To avoid the possibility of loss or damage, avoid lingering inside the dressing room, leave when you're done.

-Cosplayers who have helpers can accompany them inside the dressing room PROVIDED that they are of the same biological sex. I'm sure most of the cosplayers (especially the women) would dress up more comfortably without any guys present in the room, and vice versa.

-If possible bring your own mirrors during make-up. Im sorry for the inconvenience but as of now we are still trying to supply a mirror for you, but bring one just in case.

-No photography is allowed inside the dressing room.

That's all for now.

A friend of mine who went there said that there are so many cosplayers, but most of them are Naruto characters.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to go to the event but I have seen the event in TV Patrol last Saturday.  The Macross was awesome, excellently done with the use of proper materials.

A friend of mine who went there said that there are so many cosplayers, but most of them are Naruto characters.

user posted imageYun din ba yung Macross sa G2 Con? Parang napanood ko yun sa isang Halloween Costume Parade na puro aswang tapos siya lang nag-iisang robot lolz!

Really? O.O The Macross went with the halloween monsters? *lol*
