Hero TV's Grand Channel Launch Event
Creative Programs Inc., an ABS-CBN company and the same company that brought us MYX, Lifestyle Network and Cinema One, has finally brought to Manila their latest channel, Hero TV. Hero TV is ABS-CBN's all filipino dubbed anime channel and in celebration of its Manila debut, Hero TV will be holding a grand channel launch on November 12-13 at the Philippine Trade and Training Center (PTTC), Roxas Blvd., Manila (near the World Trade Center).

Hero Cosplay Schedule
Day 1 (November 12, 2005)
9:00am to 12:00noon = Cosplay Registration (cosplayer area)
12:30noon to 2:30pm = Cosplay proper (cosplayer area)
3:00pm to 3:30pm = Cosplay group skit contest (hero main stage)
3:30pm to 4:00pm = Announcement and presentation of Finalists, Group Cosplay winner-of-the-day and Cosplay Idol winner-of-the-day (hero main stage)
(Finalists on the first day must attend the second day to compete for the category awards except for Best Group Cosplay and Cosplay Idol awards, which will be awarded on the day itself.)
Day 2 (November 13, 2005)

Hero TV launch Cosplay Guidelines
1. Anyone can participate in the competition regardless of gender and age.
2. There will be two cosplay categories:
• Teens/Adults = ages 13 and up
• Kids = ages 12 and below
3. Cosplay participants below 12 yrs. old must either be accompanied by parents or legal guardians or must submit a written permission from them.
4. Hero TV cosplay event will be an OPEN ANIME CATEGORY competition on day 1 (nov. 12) where participants could cosplay any anime character that they want. The cosplay event on day 2 (nov. 13) will be a HERO TV ANIME CATEGORY where participants could cosplay any Hero TV anime title.

5. No volatile/explosive/toxic/radioactive/reactive/corrosive/easily flammable substances are allowed. Although one can still use fake blood or confetti, please make sure the mess will be at a minimum. This is also for the safety of the cosplayer who will be going onstage after.
6. Scantly clad or sexy costumes are allowed but not encouraged. This event will be attended by anime fans of all ages, both kids and adults. The Hero staff will have the right to disqualify contestants that they have judged to be too lewd and offending, especially to minors.
7. Cosplay participants must provide 3 colored pictures/image copies of their cosplay character, if possible full body shots upon registering. Hero TV Cosplay Team won't be accepting hand-drawn images.
8. If a cosplayer plans to carry a weapon, one must conform to the following:
• Real weapons are strictly prohibited. If a character needs to have a weapon, one can bring a replica. Please kindly inform the Hero TV Cosplay Team beforehand what props that will be brought for the cosplay.
• All props should be kept/carried with the utmost caution. Hero TV and its staff will bear no responsibility towards any injury as a result from a cosplayer’s carelessness.
• Hero TV Cosplay Team and/or Hero TV reserves the right to bar the usage of any props that may seem potentially dangerous and/or harmful.
9. No profanity or rude gestures will be tolerated onstage. This convention is for everyone, so let’s keep it wholesome. One doesn't need to be rude or lewd to be funny or entertaining. Those who will disregard this rule will be automatically disqualified.
10. Hero TV reserves the right to withdraw the rights of participation and/or props should one be found to break any of the aforementioned rules/regulations. Ignorance of these rules will not be exempted.
11. Hero TV, its staff and the cosplay team won't be held responsible in any kind of incidents and/or events that would inflict and/or render any kind of loss and/or damages and/or injury to the cosplay participants.
12. There'll only be a limit of 50 individual cosplayer slots and 5 cosplay group slots per day that are available. Anyone who registered before the cut-off and reached before the deadline are included to the official list of cosplay participants. However, cosplayers who didn't reached the cut-off has the choice to cosplay and could win Hero TV's Cosplay Square Idol award but they can't participate in the catwalk proper.
13. Judges' decision are absolute and final and there won't be any appeals that'll be entertained.
14. Hero TV has the right to take videos and/or photographs of its contest entries at its own discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the entrants to allow Hero TV to use their likeness/image, etc. in any current/future advertisement and/or promotion.
15. All employees of Hero TV and/or Creative Programs, Inc. and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from participating the cosplay event.

Hero TV Individual Cosplay Guidelines
=======================================
1. An individual cosplay participant can register on-site on the day of the event.
2. A cosplay participant will be given a colored number tag (orange) and must be worn at all times.
3. Cosplayers who do not show up during call time will be disqualified (be there at least 15 minutes before call time—see schedule).
4. An individual cosplay participant can join the group cosplay category even as a minor role provided that the cosplayer has registered as part of a cosplay group. Joining a group without previously registering will disqualify the whole group.
5. An individual cosplay participant will be given a max stage time limit of 2 minutes to catwalk and to do a skit.

Hero TV Group Cosplay Guidelines

1. The cosplay group can register on-site on the day of the event.
2. A group cosplay participant shall not be allowed to join another group even as a minor role.
3. A group must consist of at least 3 members and there won't be any limit to the maximum no. of members.
4. A cosplay group will be given a max stage time of 5 minutes to do whatever the group wants to do on stage.

GAME characters are allowed in the open game category PROVIDED that they have had a stand-alone traditional or 3D animation.
IN-GAME animation will not be considered.
