Ei^_^ Just curious, what you guys think about getting a representative from our country to that international cosplay convention. Just thought it would be a nice idea, if we can get a representative their to show them Filipino cosplay.^_^

Umm... still trying to find out how to join in, but it seems that Aichi TV is the one who collects the representatives, and only member countries have the opportunity. From my impression the tv channel is something like TFC or WoWoW.

Well... just curious what you guys think about the idea.^_^

members are usually choosen (well, dito) through a major convention. This year, the representatives were choosen in Anime Expo by the judges. I think it would be very interesting na the pinas could be represented.

well... for the most part... if I get possitive responses from the cosplay community about it... I'll work on something about having our country represented.^_^

And I am hopeful, that we can get sponsors just in case we have to spend for our own ticket and accommodations... the gaming companies here have always been nice to the cosplay community, I am hopeful that they might help us with this one.^_^

For the most part... I kinda want to represent... pero I can think of a handful of cosplayers who are more qualified than I am.... and I'll be leaving the country soon, so that could be the dilema.^_^;;;

no one has answered my question yet on entering a country to Cosplay Summit. Pero I think I have an idea on how to get started.

Have a big cosplay event sponsored by a well known anime company to host the cosplay event. The more cosplay activities the more it helps to hint that the Philippines is ready to jump into the cosplay competition wagon.

Or if there are cosplay competitions in the Philippines that sends one or a group of representatives to a different country to compete (not cosplay summit) it should help spread the word until a bigger company hears of of it.

I'll continue asking more questions on how. Hope that helped

actually... we have a plan in mind na... HERO is an all anime/sentai/cdi channel in Filipino (parang Cartoon Network), the first in the Philippines, they will have a convention this March... I think they will like the idea a lot that they could be the way to bring Filipino representative into this international cosplay summit^_^

you may have to discuss or contact the head of the summit to enter other countries (but im not too sure on that.) Pero, kung kukunin nyo ang mga suggestion ko, I would really start small and work your way up. Namely making a name for the Filipino cosplayers. Holding several contests is good and to have alot of the major contestants fly to Hong Kong for the bigger events I think would also help spread the word/names.
