Uh, gundam suits? You mean the mecha, or the flightsuits?

Well, depende yung material sa magcocosplay. Syempre yung may kaya, baka high quality yung bilhin; yung mga students lang na tulad ko, todo-tipid, kaya yung the best possible material within the budget.

Anyway, yung sakin po, wala pa akong nabibiling tela. By the end of January pa ako bibili, since inuuna ko yung rubber shoes ni Kira. ^^

lol, hintayin nyo ang pag uwe ko XDD and i will have a full out Gouf Ignited made of fiber glass so if i do hit anyone, my suit is completely safe :lol: and i will be making a ZAFT pilot suit and Kira's pilot suit :lol:

So far kasi, wala pa akong idea kung anong magandang tela, depende pa sa isusuggest nung mananahi. :lol:

At nahihirapan ako sa helmet. >.<

lol, yes, a fiber glass version to the Gouf Ignited because I love Heine and I love TMR. Papano kasi, everyone has done a Gundam cosplay so why not try the lesser known mobile suits? Once i've done that, theres the Zaku I've always wanted to try and then I'll work on an actual gundam. Kaylangan kong mag wear ng body suit underneath since I wont be lining the thing inside but it will be pretty warm enough.

As for the pilot suits, I planned on using stretch vynl or PVC. Then for the 'hard part' around their shoulder blades and neck (on Kira's its around the shoulders/neck) while for the ZAFT one, the chest part is padded. I will be using plastic then covering it with the vynl/pvc unless I can find perfect matching paint. Fiberglass is not an option for me for that part.

Then for Kira's helmet, I plan on basing it off an existing helmet. I originally planned on using an biker helmet as a base but since the shape of his visor is weird, sanding the parts down wont exactly work so I will have to make the whole thing by hand. Same goes for Cagalli's pilot suit and possibly for Athrun as well. For Kira's, I'm looking at a photo from his Gundam Seed suit since his Destiny one is slightly different.

I will paper machette the whole helmet until I get it to a solid shape to the point that I can use either plastic or fiber glass (maybe both) to cover and give the helmet the hard look and its durability. And use fiber glass once again for the visor cover or you can keep it open so you can hold the helmet.

I tried making Kira's helmet using paper mache and masilya, kaso may mali sa ginawa ko. Uulitin ko na lang. XD

Hmmm...stretch vynl for the pilot suits...itatanong ko sa mananahi kung pwede. Ang suggestion po nya kasi, is silk, para daw makintab. :lol:

no, silk will not work. It will have the shiny effect but from a crazy nit picker like me I would invest in stretch vinyl or PVC. It will give the shiny effect and would look more realistic for a pilot suit.

Gundam is one of the most expensive costumes I'm working on. Kahit mahal I will get the costume done. From wigs, to contacts to materials I will get them :lol:

just keep in mind making a pilot suit is not cheap. Neither is making a MS suit kasi before you can actually make the whole thing. You first need to work out the overall mold. And have it so that you are able to move and walk.

I will wear the pilot suit while in the US and I will bring ALL my costumes home with me sa pinas :D

I've been told before by friends tungkol sa Jollibee sa US. And yeah, pareho kayo ng reactions about it. :lol:

i actually saw someone cosplayed as plug suit Kira with a Lacus. They had the helmet except they just held it kasi I think they made some mistake so they couldnt put it on. Usually you would want to add padding inside so its comfortable like a read helmet. And thats what I plan to do.

yeah, hindi nga talaga masarap yung jollibee dito. The most decent fast food pinoy food you could get here is Chowking...but aside from that. Wala na.

Btw, kung majority ng group ay mag-'okay', kelangan natin maghanap ng bagong Athrun na naka-flightsuit. Yung Athrun kasi sa group natin ngayon, hindi pa sure kung pwede sya sa Ozine Fest.

At yung mga magcocosplay ng mecha, nagtatanong kung pwede pa rin daw ba kayo on Nov and Dec, kasi balak namin kumpletuhin sana yung cast ng GSD. ^^

XDD pag maka uwe ako by that time (april seems like a good time for me to come home kasi we need to reprocess some papers concerning our stay here in america) so, pag makauwe ako by then. Then sign me up as flight suit Athrun :D
