I'm novice of this cosplay events, I just know some idea about cosplay. I just want to ask, if it ok for a cosplayer to make his/her own character in an event? for example: [I][I]In the anime "Bleach" Shinigami-Hollow Captain of the 81 division?

another example. In Anime is a new Akatsuki member?.. making his/her signiture style, is that qualified?

when the category is anything goes.... ok lang yun^_^

sometimes.... the open cathegory rules say particular things like.... "anime, live action, jpop, jrock, western fandoms, manga".....just to be sure to ask them or the organizers first if they accept original characters for the event.^_^

Clarification, How about the when the cosplay event is "Anime and Games" that's the most common event in cosplays. now I will cosplay as one of character in the Anime "Bleach" but I will portray, an different character.. it's non-existing in mangga, possible exist in Fan-fics, but not in mangga or anime. I will portray "Shinigami Captain of the 81 division in Hollow form," :lol:
