CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS! YOU WERE ALL GREAT FIGHTERS!!! SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
----------------------------------------
Review: This year's tourney is much more exciting than last year's 3rd Strike Championship. New faces, new challengers, new strategies & even new PIZZA-EATING peepz (lolz! sorry Jen) just can't get their hands off the controllers! XD
Pocket FighterThis game's hilariousness hasn't faded away since yesterday's match. Even non-players were given a chance to battle against the experts. I know everybody had a great time especially the winner who's the first to grab the Capcom Figure Prize XD
Power Stone 2One of the much awaited games with 4-player intense fighting! Everyone is required to pick a number from a box to get their official partners for the team battle. Everybody, even the masters of the game was nervous with their mystery partners.
Although the game is quite funny like Pocket Fighter, the atmosphere changed when it's the experts' turns to fight! Sudden Death is their worst enemy other than the opposing team. In the end, the true master & his partner took the title.
Chloebs' Comment: Although I admit, I didn't quite enjoy my gameplay because of the practice rounds. It's like I just sold my strategy to the opponents T_T
Power Stone 1Unlike the sequel, Power Stone 2, this game is quite similar to it but the strategy of winning is a lot different. In this game, the player who gets the stones first is considered the winner. But it also depends on the player's combo damage when untransformed. Also, this game only appeared in the Dreamcast unlike the sequel which is very popular in the arcades. So not everyone is familiar with the techniques used here.
Again, the non-players were given tutorials before the official game. They were easy learners. I had a good time watching :)
Chloebs' Comment: Practice didn't pay off for this one. I lost to Paul's speedy ninja in the finals. But the title is not his...not yet! lolz!
***Pizza Break! Please DON'T EAT ALL THE...pizza... Dang!!!***
Street Fighter Alpha HyperAnother intense game especially for the old school fighters! This is a special game only unlocked in the SF Alpha Anthology for the PS2. SFAH is NOT the same with the one you're familiar with in the 15th anniversary CD. This game is the combination of the SF series from Classic to Alpha3.
Some people just can't get their hands off the controllers like I mentioned above. They just can't follow the "WHO GOES FIRST RULE", can they? Anyway, the game is very serious compared to the 1st three. But thanks to commentors like
altaizen , the game was also ment for laughs. Right? Right? Left?
Chloebs' Comment: Oooo...my beautiful Fei-long lost to Sagat. Actually I chose the wrong game option (I clicked "Alpha" because of too much excitement instead of "Alpha3" & my favorite controller was missing, daaaaang!!!) but just continued with it. But like I said before,
Van Damme is TOO CLASSIC & POWERFUL for this one!!! The American Colonel once again destroyed the One-Eyed Beast. One of the greatest fights I've seen so far!
Street Fighter III 3rd StrikeThe main event everybody's waiting for. Unlucky me versus last year's champion was chosen for the first fight. Daaaaang!!! The American Dragon versus the not-so-Strongest Woman in the World ack! This game was so intense, it's like watching a boxing match (thanks again to altaizen for his crazy comments! :D ). All the players were dead serious in their battles. I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE WHO'S STARTING TO LOOK LIKE HIS CHARACTER BECAUSE OF THE SERIOUSNESS, IT'S LIKE HE'S POSSESSED BY SOME MUSCULAR & NAKED ENTITY! Hahahaha!
Chloebs' Comment: The Parry King lost his title to the Nude Wrestler in this match. The game is still the best compared to the new 3D games out there. This old school game truly burns your muscle! And the most intense battles & spine-tingling moments can only be found here.
Overall, the tournament was beautiful! Almost everybody enjoyed (especially with the pizza...again, sorry Jen!). All winners got a piece of the rare Capcom collectibles from Japan. And I know everybody left with a smile on their faces :) In behalf of my slipper-eating puppies, I apologize to Zengar hehe! Thanks for joining guys! Hope to challenge you again next year!!!
GAME OVER
