Tomasinotaku, UST's first ever j-culture organization, will be holding a J-culture event...

When: december 9, 2005
Where: UST colayco park

programme:
booths
parade
j-culture show featuring sword dancing/sword fighting, traditional japanese dance, etc...
j-music extravaganza
cosplay (any character is qualified but no real weapons and costumes showing too much skin)

event proper starts at 4 pm
cosplay registration at 3 pm
entrance fee PhP 20

may contest ba ?

The phrase "any character is qualified" in the rules seems to hint at a contest. :unsure:

Since it's about J-culture, you'd probably wanna do a character who wears either traditional or modern Japanese fashion. ;)

yes, its going to be a contest... with cash and anime stuff for the grand prize... as to the specific amount and stuff, i still cannot disclose that for now... the vent is outdoors so sorry, no aircon... but don't worry, its going to be a cold december night... :P

as for the booths, we have henna tattoo and face painting, booths selling anime stuff, food booths, etc... i can't remember the others...

additional:

there will be a on the spot drawing contest and dating game... for these two contests, you guys will get the chance to be featured on TV for a few episodes of ARK...

by the way, the event will be covered by anime ring kaishoof ABC 5...

soul_reaver: yeah, meron pa rin tayong fireworks display... kung madami yung mabibiling fireworks, it will be before the main music part of the event and after the event itself...

woah! okay, clarify ko lang... again, again, again... cosplay will start at 6 and reg will be from 4-6... like what i said, it will be continuous... sorry guys... ang gulo ko... but if you don't want to join the cosplay competition, you guys are free to just attend in costume... :D

as for the time of the event, of course we have a permit... its okay to stay until 10 pm as long as it is an org project... if necessary time adjustments are needed, we'll find a way...
