Almost the town of Frewell was engulfed in flames as the army advanced toward their target. Screams were heard as the entire population was slowly killed, one by one. But on the northern end of Frewell…

A lady dressed in black was chanting a spell

“From the chasm of hell, I command thee, erect a wall of flame against thy enemies… BARRIER!!!‿

All around the house, a ring of fire surrounded it, making a defense for a while…

“Marishka!!!‿

“Mom???‿

A teenager, dressed also in a coat of black appeared beside her.

“There’s no time left. Kailangan na tumakas na kayo ng mga kapatid mo. Hindi tatagal tong enchantment na to.‿

The girl, worn out from fighting the invaders, replied

“Pero mom…‿

But her mom didn’t let her finish.

“Cge na. Ang hinahanap ng mga sundalo na to ay tayo. Kailangan makatakas na kayo, o kundi mamamatay lang kayo dito.‿

But the girl, tears falling down said;

“Ayaw ko kayong iwan dito. Kung hindi kami pwedeng lumaban, sumama na lang kayo sa amin… Hindi naming kayang mawala ka mom.‿

But the lady shook her head and said to the girl, tears also running in her face;

“Hindi maari. Kailangan kong ipagtanggol ang lugar na to sa huling sandali. Ipangako mo sa akin na aalagaan mo sila Enigma at Jianne ng mabuti. Cge na, iwan mo na ko dito.‿

With tears in her eyes, the girl ran up and gathered her younger brother and sister and went to the basement and opened the secret passage way that led to the forest outside the town of Frewell. But before she and her younger brother entered the door,

They heard the scream of their mom, arrows piercing her body, as she chanted her last spell on the enemy, and as they closed behind them the secret entrance, they only heard silence…

† Chapter 1 †: Grudge

“Zzz…‿

A girl tiptoed in the room and poked the guy who was sleeping

“Nee-chan‿

“KUYAAAAAAAAA‿

“Waaaaaaaaaaa‿

The guy woke up with a start and fell out of the bed. He rubbed his aching head and look at the girl who was laughing at him.

“Brat… bat di ka man lang kumatok ha Jianne?‿ The guy asked as he stood up and started fixing his bed.

“Sensya na Kuya Enigma, sabi kasi ni Ate Marishka na gisingin ka na. Ayoko ngang gawin eh pero sabi nya baka ma-late na tayu sa klase.‿ Jianne said and added, “Kakain na pala tayo. Bilisan mo ha.‿ Jianne joked and scrammed out of the room.

“Jeez, ang aga naman gumising ni Ate. Haizzz, nag-aalala cguro na di kami makakapasok ng maayus ngayong unang araw ng klase.‿ Enigma thought as he hurriedly dressed into his uniform and went downstair to eat breakfast.

“Good Morning Ate Marishka, anong meron para sa breakfast?‿ Enigma asked as he stifled a yawn.

“Gusto mo pancake? O heto, saluhin mo‿ Marishka said and threw at him a couple of pancakes.

Unperturbed, Enigma took his plate and catched his pancakes, except one, which flew out of the window.

“Asar… Haizzz, kulang nanaman ako sa pancake.‿ Enigma complained as he sat down and started to eat.

“Yan kasi. Subsub ka nanaman sa workshop mo no? Ate o, hindi nanaman nag practice.‿ Jianne teased Enigma as she finished up her meal.

“Sus, nag-practice rin po ko ng alchemy ko. Tsaka tinapos ko lang yung pinapagawa nyo sa kin.‿ Enigma explained quietly as he quickly finished his meal.

“Talaga Kuya, tapos na??? Patingin, patingin.‿ Jianne said excitedly as she eagerly followed Enigma to their basement.

The basement was full of library cases and tools, and it also had a painting of a family of five. Both Enigma and Jianne look at it quietly and proceeded to the workshop of Enigma.

“Ok, here’s your gun. It fires 200 pellets per min. It can finish a whole magazine in 5 minutes so be careful with it.‿ Enigma explained to her as he handed her an Uzi type gun. Jianne took it, examined it carefully, and let it vanish without a trace.

“Wala bang extra cartridges tong baril na to?‿ Jianne said doubtfully to Enigma

“As of now wala pa. Ginabi ako sa pag-gwa nyan eh.‿ Enigma said to her as they both went upstairs.

“Ok na ba kayong dalawa, tara na, may tuturuan pa akong klase.‿ Marishka said impatiently to the 2. Both Enigma and Jianne nodded and as they went out of the house, Enigma handed the other gun he made to Marishka. She only nodded as a sign of thanks and the 3 of them proceeded to school.


“Ui, tingan nyo.‿

“May mga transferees ata sa school natin‿

“Average lang kaya sila na mga students? Wala naman akong maramdaman na aura sa kanila eh.‿ A guy in a blue jacket said to the girl seated beside him.
“Mahina lang ata pakiramdam mo Kyle. Baka gusto mo lang talaga hamunin.‿ The girl with a pink jacket said to him.

“Tama si Kyle, Naomi. Ni kahit na maliit na aura ay wala akong maramdaman. Alam naman natin na lahat students dito ay may aura, at hindi tinatanggap sa school natin ang mga taong walang aura. Kausapin ko na lang si Bob mamaya. Kailangan nating i-greet ang mga transferees mamayang hapon.‿ A girl with a golden hair said to them and went to her class, just as the bell rang.

“Grabe naman si Ate Resha. Bat ba mainit sya ngayun sa mga transferees na yun?‿ Naomi thought as he walked together with Kyle to their classroom.

“Kasi, hindi sya naniniwala na kayang itago ng 2 transferee at ng teacher na yun ang kanilang aura. Cguro ayaw nil an magparamdam ng aura sa atin.‿ Kyle explained to Naomi as they entered the classroom.

“Cguro nga. Panoodin na lang natin kung ano ang gagawin ni Bob sa dalawang transferee na yun mamaya.‿ Naomi said to Kyle and stopped talking as their teacher arrived.


“Hanapin nyo na classroom nyo. Punta muna ako sa faculty room. Dyan muna kayo.‿ Marishka said and waved a goodbye.

Enigma and Jianne were left alone so they proceeded first to find Jianne’s room.

“Napansin mo ba Kuya, madaming nagpaparamdam ng aura sa atin.‿ Jianne said quietly as they passed the rooms of the first year.

“Parang naghahamon nga eh. Ano, patulan natin?‿ Enigma asked mischievously

“Mamayang hapon na lang, total, mga bago tayo dito, cgurado hahamunin tayu. Magagamit ko na rin tong bagong laruan na gawa mo Kuya Enigs. Eto na pala room ko, cge mauna na ko sayo.‿ Jianne said and waved at her brother, noting that several of her new classmates were staring at her.

“Asar, asan na ba ang room ko dito? Nakakahilo naman, 4th year building na nga ako… grrrrr‿ Enigma complained as he reached the last classroom. But he suddenly stiffened, feeling auras equal to the students above.

“Nako naman, ano bang meron dito at parang naghahamon sila ng away?‿ Enigma thought as he entered the room. A chair greeted him, flying directly at his head.

“Bahala na nga kayo.‿ Enigma thought as he ducked the chair, as it crashed outside.
Enigma stared at his new classmates, who were looking at him with grave dislike.
He knew trouble was waiting for him, but as Jianne did at her class, slid into an unoccupied seat near the window and waited for the class to start.

“Hindi ordinaryong student to. Wala pa ring linabas na aura kahit na naiwasan nya yung upuan. Hindi ko na mahintay ang dismissal.‿ The girl with the golden hair thought as she watched the boy stare out at the window…

† Chapter 2 †: Afternoon Initiation Rites

“Ah, eto na pala yung faculty room…‿

“Masimulan na nga to.‿

Marishka entered the faculty room slowly, suddenly stopping as she saw man staring out of the window.

“Excuse me, ikaw lang ba ang teacher dito sa room?‿ Marishka asked the guy.

“Ah, oo ako lang. Mamaya pa kasi klase ko eh. Ikaw ba si Ms. Marishka Scarlethand?‿ The guy asked politely.

“Umm, oo ako nga. Eh ikaw, ano naman pangalan mo?‿ Marishka asked him

“Sol. Sol Kinimoto nga pala pangalan ko. Hina-handle ko ang mga 3rd year students dito. 3rd year rin hawak mo di ba? Literature kung hindi ako nag-kakamali?‿ Sol said to her.

“Ah, oo, Literature hawak ko. Pwede bang malaman kung saan ang desk ko? Ang bigat kasi nitong dala ko.‿ Marishka said to him, feeling she wanted to put her things down.

“Naku, pasensya ka na. Dito nga pala desk mo.‿ Sol said to her, pointing a desk, which was also near a window. “Hindi ko agad-agad napansin. Sorry ha.‿ Sol apologized as he helped her bring her things to her desk.

“Oo nga pala, bakit mo pala tinatago yung aura mo?‿ Sol said conversationally as he went back at looking at the school grounds.

At this question, Marishka was taken back. “Pano mo alam na tinatago ko aura ko?‿ Marishka asked suspiciously at him.

“w0w, galing mo naman. Ayaw ko kasing magparamdam sa mga tao kaya tinatago ko na lang. Masama bang itago dito ang aura?‿ Marishka asked Sol.

“Hindi naman sa masama. Ang mga students at ibang teachers kasi iba ang pananaw sa mga taong nag-tatago ng aura. Pakiramdam nila, parang mas malakas pa sa kanila ang mga taong nagtatago ng aura, kaya, kung napansin mo ngayun, linalakasan na ng mga students dito ang kanilang aura. Kaya cguro, may mapapaaway mamayang uwian. May kasama ka pa bang iba?‿ Sol asked her as he finished explaining the fact to her.

“Yung dalawa kong kapatid lang naman. Pero, hindi na ako mag-aalala kung ganyan ang mangyayari mamaya. “Oo nga pala, ako si Xairine Kinimoto. Pwede bang malaman ang pangalan mo?‿ The girl asked her politely.

“Ako ba? Jianne. Jianne Scarlethand. Pasensya ka na kung ganito ako ngayon. Kakalipat ko lang kasi eh.‿ Jianne said and grinned shyly.

“Ah, ikaw pala yung sinabi ni Kuya na lilipat sa Class namin. Pag pasensyahn mo rin yung iba nating kaklase, hindi kasi sanay sa mga bagong transferees na nag-tatago ng kapangyarihan nila.‿ Xairine whispered to Jianne.

“Kaya pala pinaparamdaman samin ng Kuya ko ang mga aura nila. Parang nag-hahamon nga eh.‿ Jianne said to Xairine as she felt the angry auras of her classmates.

“Yun rin pala yung isa kong sadya kaya nakipag kilala ako sa iyo. Kailangan mo pala bumaba sa quadrangle mamayang uwian. Kailangan mong harapin ang mga nag-hahamon sa iyo. Pasensya ka na, pero hindi mo ito kayang tanggihan.‿ Xairine apologized as she explained the situation to Jianne.

“Ganun ba? Pero sa hindi ako nagyayabang, kanina pa ako naiirita sa mga mayayabang na to. Cge, tanggap ang hamon. Gusto ko rin subukang yung bago kong laruan mamaya.‿ Jianne said to Xairine both of them went quiet as classes started.


“Patapos na ang Class.‿

“Hindi pa rin nagpaparamdam yung baguhan.‿

Enigma was getting irritated by the whispers of classmates as the day went by. He didn’t recite in each of the class he was in, as to not draw attention to him. But when topic was about history, he knew he had to recite in this one.

“Ok class, ang topic ngayun ay tungkol sa mga pangyayari sa bayan ng Frewell. Sino sa inyo ang makakapag larawan sa kin ng bayan na ito?‿ The teacher asked the class. The girl with the golden hair raised and the teacher pointed at her. “Yes, Ms.Winterfall?‿

The girl answered;

“Ang bayan ng Frewell ay kilala bilang isang bayan ng magic at science. Madaming mga tao sa ibang bansa ang may ayaw dito dahil sa kanilang pananaw, hindi dapat pinagsasama ang Magic at Science, kasi talagang mag-kaiba ang dalawang larangan na ito.‿ Resha explained

“Tama ka Ms. Winterfall. At dahil dito, nangyari ang tragedy noong anim na taon ang nakakalipas. Pwede ba paki explain ang nangyari noon?‿ The teacher asked the class again.

No one could answer her question but suddenly everyone was amazed, as Enigma raised his hand to recite.

The teacher nodded and Enigma began his explanation;

The teacher and Resha was amazed at his knowledge of that town, knowing that only the army of Kaidon attack that town. Before the teacher could continue the explanation, the bell rang, signaling the end of the class. It was the moment everyone was waiting for, everyone rushed out, leaving the new kid alone.

Enigma was also about to leave, when he suddenly caught a floating paper. It only said; “Meet us at the school quadrangle now.‿ Enigma crumpled it and walked downstairs thinking, “I thought you wouldn’t ask.‿


Specatators were surrounding the area outside the quadrangle as both Jianne and Enigma appeared.

“Ha, andito na pala ang mga baguhan. Handa na ba kayo sa Initiation nyo?‿ A guy asked, a wicked chain at his hand.

“Kailangan pa pala nito? Alam nyo, kanina pa ako naiirita sa inyo. Cge, gawin nyo gusto nyo.‿ Jianne said without a care to the world.

Enrage, 6 guys rushed towards them but stopped suddenly as Jianne and Enigma materialized a pair of guns and aimed it at them.

“Sinong gusto maunang matulog sa inyo?‿ Enigma said as the 6 guys walked slowly backwards, not knowing their opponents were also armed.

“Cge na, sugudin nyo na.‿ Their leader ordered and all the members of their team rushed towards them.

“Wala atang utak ang mga students dito kuya.‿ Jianne yelled as she sprayed stun bullets at them. “Ganda pala nitong baril na ginawa mo. Buti na lang madali tamaan mga loko na to.‿ She continued as she and Enigma stunned all of them, including the leader who wanted to back out when he saw the his team knocked out.

“Hmm, magaling ka pala Enigma,‿ a girl whispered from them at the back. Both Enigma whirled to see another team ready to fight them.

“Kung ganyan pala tactics nyo, madali lang pala naming kayo matatalo. Wala kayung laban sa fire spells naming.‿ Resha said and started chanting spells. “Here thy chanter of spell, twin dragons, blast thy fools into oblivion.

Enigma said nothing and took a book out of his back. As he took held it in front of him, 2 dragons appeared, making straight at him. But before they could reach them, a barrier of magic prevented the hit.

“Anong??? Imposible to. Hindi mo pwede ipagsabay ang weapon type na class tulad sa inyo at magic.‿ Resha said angrily at Enigma.

“Ms. Winterfall, kung nakikinig ka sa lecture kanina natin, alam mong pwede. Nakalimutan ko pa lang ipakilala sarili ko. Ako nga pala si Enigma Scarlethand.‿ Enigma said with grim finality at them.

“Isa kang Scarlethand? Ang buong akala ko ubos na ang buong nyo?‿ Resha said, knowing that she was outmatched with this guy.

“Pasensya na kung di ko nasabi agad. Oo nga pala, hindi pa dapat kasali ang mga instructors dito?‿ Enigma asked Resha.

“Engima, dapat kasali sila, kaso ako ang inuna nila.‿ Marishka’s voiced said as she appeared out of nowhere.

“O ayan, tutuloy nyo pa ba ito?‿ Jianne said she pointed her guns at Naomi at Kyle, who were about to attack her.

“Pasensya na Jianne, pero kailngan kong gawin to.‿ A familiar voice said to her as she felt she couldn’t move her body.

“Oo nga pala, ikaw pala ang nag-imbita sa kin sa laban na to. Pero pasensya na, hindi ako madaling makulong ng isang binding spell.‿ Jianne said, chanted a spell and vanished.

“Anong? Pano nya nagawa yun? Asan ka na…?‿ Xairine stopped as she felt a gun in her neck.

“Pasensya na rin Xairine. Specialty ko ang pagbagal ng oras.‿ Jianne cheerfully said as the others backed from them.

“Tama na yan guys. Naku, pinagtulungan nyo na nga eh, di nyo pa natalo.‿ Sol said cheerfully he as went near the fighting groups.

“Kuya Sol? Bat ayaw mo silang labanan?‿ Naomi and Kyle complained as they were encased in a metal box bar.

“May valid reason ako. Tsaka sabi ni headmaster na tapos na tong away na to. O sya, umuwi na kayo.‿ Sol said as the people heard thunder. They knew not to mess with Sol and one by one, left the school.

“Ms. Winterfall, pasensya ka ha.‿ Enigma said apologetically as he helped her up.

“Ah, ok lang yun. Interesado kasi ako sa inyo nang una kitang makita. Di ko inaakalang isa ka sa pamilyang Scarlethand.‿ Resha said and noticed Enigma turn his head.

“Enigma tara na. Mag-aayus pa tayo sa bahay.‿ Marishka said to Enigma as Jianne ran up ahead of them.
“Umm, cge Ms. Winterfall, bukas na lang ulit.‿ Enigma whispered and ran to catch up with the others.

“Sila pala ang pamilyang Scarlethand. Hindi ko inaakalang mapapadpad sila dito sa School natin.‿ Sol said to Resha

“Ako rin sir. Ako rin.‿ Resha said with a tone of finality…

† Chapter 3 †: Friend or Foe…

“Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”

“Ano ba?”

Jianne quickly took her guns and rushed towards the lower part of the house, aiming her guns here and there, until she took a peek at the kitchen, only seeing her older sister making toast.

“Jeez, hulaan ko, si kuya nanaman yun nagiingay ano? Asar talaga yun…” Jianne complained as she dropped her guns on the table and grabbed a mug of chocolate.

“Di ka na nasanay sa kanya… Tsaka alam kong di kita makukulit sa pag gising ng maaga kaya pinabayaan mo na kuya mo na mag-ingay. Di nanaman ata natulog kuya mo eh.” Marishka said as Enigma appeared at the kitchen, looking very tired.

“O, eto na yung mga bala ng baril nyo… Siguro naman tatagal muna yan ng ilang araw.” Enigma said as he tried to stifle a yawn, while grabbing a mug of coffee. “Pwede bang hindi ako pumasok ngayon? Inaantok ako.” Enigma mumbled as he tried to stay awake.

“D pwede. Sabi ko kagabi na mag-practice kayo bago matulog, eh nakita kitang binabasa nanaman ang mga libro ni papa. Alam kong mahalaga sayu na pag-aralan ang mga theories nya, pero dapat bigyan mo rin ng oras ang alchemy mo.” Marishka said to him and handed him a plate of toast. “Sige na, kumain na kayu tapos magbihis na kayo ha. Aalis na tayo. Baka ma-late pa kayo sa klase nyo.

“Haizzz, d nanaman ako nakatulog… asar…” Enigma mumbled as he drank his coffee and finished all his toast and as he was about to go to his room, he noticed something strange. “Oist, Jianne, bat nakalabas yung baril mo? May kalaban bang sumugod?” Enigma ask her, not knowing that he was the source of the commotion.

“Ah, eto ba? Wala to, cge bihis ka na.” Jianne said and smiled mischievously as Enigma raced towards his room to change, leaving the two girls laughing behind is back.


“Ang bagal naman ng kambal”

“Pag ganyan ng ganyan…”

“Ako na talaga ang magdadala sa kanila sa office para makuha nila yung late slip nila.” Sol said as he and Xairine waited for twins, Kyle and Naomi, to go outside the house.

“Baka naman may hinahanap ulit sila. Haha, siguro pinaalala ulit ni Kyle kay Naoi na naiwan nya yung gait nya u1111lit.” Xairine guessed as the twins hurried out of the door and slamed it shut, arguing all the way where there older brother and sister where waiting…

“Ei, bat ba ang tagal nyong dalawa ha?” Sol asked as they all started to walk to school.

“Si Naomi kasi, nakalimutan kung saan linagay yung music player nya. Tuloy, inatak pa ako para hanapin.” Kyle said crossly, sticking a tongue at Naomi.

“Eh sa nakalimutan ko eh. Eh, kung hindi mo tinulungan, di sana natagalan pa tayo?” Naomi shot back at Kyle, starting the argument all over again.

“Aga aga, nag aaway na kayo.” A girl’s voice said to them as the twins walked on ahead, still arguing.

“Eeeeeek, ate Resha. Di po kami nagaaway.” Naomi and Kyle both said at same time as they halted and greeted their friend.

“O Resha kamusta? Papunta ka na ba sa school? Sabay ka na lang sa amin, total papunta na rin kami.” Sol said to her as he and Xairine caught up with the two.

“Cge, sasabay na lang ako sa inyo. Ibang klase rin yung pangyayari kahapon no?” Resha said to them, referring to the incident about the new students at their school.

“Hmm, di ko inaasahang mapapadpad ang mga yun sa school natin. Pero nakakakot yung nakakatandang kapatid nila… Yung kapangyarihan nya walang katulad.” Sol said quietly as he recalled the incident at the faculty room.

“Kuya Sol, ano ba nangyari sa Faculty room? Kwento mo naan samin.” Xairine said to hi, wondering what happened there that made her brother so quiet.

“Ganito kasi yun… Eksaktong nasa Faculty kaming dalawa nung tumunog ang bell para sa dismissal. Gaya ng kanyang mga kapatid, nakatanggap rin sya ng hamon para lumaban. Ayun, lahat ata ng instructors pumunta dun. Lalapit na rin sana ako sa kanila para matpos na yung gulo ng biglang tumayo lahat ng balahibo ko. Tapos, bigla akong tuingin kay Ms. Marishka. Nakalutang na sya sa ere, ang mata nya nagiba ng kulay… Tapos bigla na lang nagsuli love youn ang mga ligaw na kaluluwa, isa isang tumatagos sa katawang mga katawan ng mga teachers hanggang isa isa silang bagsak… At andoon lang ako, nakaupo sa silya ko… Takot dahil ibang klase ang kapangyarihan nya…” Sol said to them, finishing his tale to them.

The others were stunned as they heard Sol’s story. They shuddered as they thought on what would happen if Sol didn’t stop the fighting yesterday. They thought about it seriously all the way to school on how it was gonna be a whole lot troublesome with those 3 new people at school.


Chem Class;

“You guys have to solve these 10 formulas within an hour. Failure to do so, all the students who didn’t finish it will have to do remedial class later this afternoon. You may now begin.” The Chemistry teacher said to them and went out of the class.

After she left, almost all of the students started complaining about the class;

“Amp, fighter naman ako, bat ko ba kailangan pagaralan ang chemistry??” A student complained.

“Mas lalo naman ako, ano naman gagawin ko dyan, eh magic cass ako.?” A female mage apprentice complained as they worked out their brains to finish the test before the time was finished. But one student started filling out his paper, not just because he knew the equation, but he wanted to finish the test and take the time sleep.

“Ayan tapos, makakatulog na rin ako.” Enigma muttered as he passed his test paper and returned back to his desk, folding his arms and started to nap.

At his movements, almost again, the students looked at him with grave dislike, thinking that he was so arrogant that he proceeded to sleep after a test.

“Nakakaasar na tong lalaki na to. Sugudin na natin to.” A number of students said to the rest.

“Cge, cge. Para naman maturuan ng leksyon tong lalaking nagtatago ng aura.” The others said.

But a voice rose out from the babble and said to them;

“Tsk tsk, nakalimutan nyo na ba nangyari kahapon? Di ba kayu natuto sa pangyayari kahapon? Tapos aatakihin nyo pa habang tulog… Nakakahiya kayu…” Resha started to say when she felt an aura outside the school. She rushed outside and saw two people in a strange outfit staring at the school.

“May bisita pala tayo, tara, I welcome naman natin.” A student said and almost all the students rushed out, Resha also going out with them. But as they rushed out, Enigma raised his head and said out loud, “Goodluck na lang sa inyo. Sana maturuan nyo ng leksyon ang mga mayayabang na yan.” Referring to the 2 strange people outside the school…


School Quadrangle;

Almost like yesterday, most of the students rushed out and circled the 2 visitors who came to their school.

“Sino naman kayu at bat kayo nandito?” A student asked them, spitting to the ground as he asked them.

“Hmm? Hinahanap lang namin ang pinuno namin. Kung andito man sya, d ko inaasahang mag-aaral sya dito dahil lahat ata ng tao dito ang yayabang.” A boy said, pulling out his hands from his pocket.

“Hulaan ko, natutulog nanaman yun kaya di tayu sinalubong. Haizzz, sana mapayag na natin sya na umalis dito sa school na to. Tama ka nga, mayayabang nga sila.” The girl said as the students of the school started letting the auras out, as if they were challenging the two of them.

“Masyado kayang madaldal. Sugudin na natin sila.” A student shouted and all hell broke loose, as the students rushed towards them.

The two students materialized their weapons, the boy holding a sphere of some sort, and the girl, a sword of ice. The boy just threw his sphere into the crowd and almost instantly, sphere exploded, a huge green cloud enveloping the students who were at the vicinity of the bomb. They started choking and started to fall into the ground, writhing in pain.

The guys who didn’t noticed their fallen schoolmates rushed towards the girl, but as they within reach, the girl chanted a spell as chunks of ice started sprouting from the ground, incasing all the students in ice.

“Haizzz, ito lang ba ang mabibigay ng mga students dito? Hindi ko talaga sya maintindihan kung bakit dito pa sya lumipat.” The boy said as only a few students were left, including Resha and the others.

“Ice pala ha, subukan mo to.” Resha said as she chanted a spell. A line of fire appeared around her and proceeded towards the ice caster. But the girl only smiled as a wall of ice suddenly appeared in front of her, preventing the fire in reaching her.

“Nako naman, ano ba ginawa nyo dito at iingay kayo? Kahit kalian talaga pahamak kayo sa tulog ko.” Enigma said from nowhere, almost stopping the fight between the 2 groups.

“Ei, long time no see. Kamusta na pala?” The boy asked Enigma, automatically throwing the fallen guys another sphere, which was an antidote and a knockout gas.

“Ano bang ginagawa nyo dito ha Plasm? Kouri? Hindi lang ito dahil sa nagbibisita lang kayo d ba???” Enigma said to them, looking at Kouri straight at the eye.

“Pinapabalik ka sa school natin. Gusto daw nila na magpaliwanag ka kung bat ka na lang biglang umalis sa grupo. Kaya pinapunta kami dito. Kung palpak kami ditto, ditto muna kami mag-aaral.” Kouri explained and she and Plasm raised their weapons at him.

“Isa laban sa dalawa??? D ba parang unfair ata yun?” Enigma said, and raised his eyebrows.

“Correction, 2-2. Musta na Plasm? long time no see.” Jianne said to her former classmate ang clubmate.

“Errr, hi Jianne…” Plasm replied, his face turning red…

“O sya, tapusin na natin to. Simulan na natin.” Kouri said as she ran towards Enigma, her sword raised, and started chanting a spell. Almost instantly, a path of frost started to move towards him, freezing all things that it comes into contact.

“Galing mo parin hanggang ngayon Kouri.” Enigma said as he countered the spell with spell breaker. But as he looked up, he saw Kouri jumped at him, her sword in the striking position. Enigma didn’t have time to make a spell and materialized his spear. “Damn, di ko akalain ganito ka na kagaling. Pero ayaw ko magpatalo.” Enigma said and from his other hand, he materialized his gun and shot Kouri straight at the head.

While the two where fighting, Jianne was watching Plasm, who wasn’t moving at all.

“Grrrr, tanggalin mo ko dito Jianne. Ang daya mo talaga.” Plasm said to her he watched the bomb he just threw in the air, frozen in it’s spot.

“Haha, ako rin sinusundo mo??? Bat mo naman sinabing si kuya lang sinusundo nyo?” Jianne asked sweetly to him.
“Wala ka na doon. Tsk, pakawalan mo nga ko dito.” Plasm angrily said again. But the words that he said made Jianne mad so…

“Grrrrrr, ganun pala ha… Bahala ka sa buhay mo.” Jianne said crossly as she let timer continue, stuck out a tongue at him as the bomb exploded, throwing Plasm off to the ground, knocking him out senseless.

But the fight wasn’t over as Kouri, with a bleeding forehead, smiled at her former guild leader and summoned her mid level spells at him. “I command thee, from the dark clouds of oblivion, I summon thee, absolute zero blizzard.” And from out of nowhere, shards of ice started falling out, heading straight towards Enigma.

But the ice didn’t have any effect on him, as he knelt down and slammed his hands into the ground, and a huge metal dome surrounded him, making a metal barrier around him.

Stunned, Kouri just stood still, and didn’t notice the time stop for her. Only when she felt the cold gun of Enigma in her neck did she resign in defeat but suddenly…

“Hahaha, hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin ikaw matalo-talo. *sniff* Alam mo, na miss kita.” Kouri said and hugged him tight, much to the amazement of the people who watched the battle.

“Ano ba? Ang daming taong nanonood o.” Enigma said crossly as he started dragging the girl towards the faculty room. But as he pulled the girl; “Ah, pasensya na pala. Ako nga pala si Kouri Takamiya, 4th year student, former assistant leader sa Hybrids. Pero simula sa araw na to, dito na ako mag-aaral.” Kouri said cheerfully as she let Enigma dragged her to the faculty room, followed by Jianne, who was helping Plasm to walk

But they weren’t far when news started circulating the school… A rumor that everyone both feared and looked forward upon… The infamous Hybrids have made their appearance.
